Theresa “Teri” Cave

Theresa “Teri” Cave, of Harrisonville, MO, passed away on April 22, 2025. Born November 14, 1958, Teri was known for her strength, quick wit, and unwavering love for her family.

She was the kind of person who’d offer a hug, an ear, or—when needed—a blunt reality check. Family was everything to Teri, and she thrived when surrounded by her people. Her laugh was unmistakable, and her advice, whether soft or sharp, always came from a place of care.

Teri is preceded in death by the love of her life, Charles Puhr; his son CA; and her grandson, Jacob Puhr.

She is survived by her children: Christina and her kids Audrey, Charles, and Daniel; John and his partner Natalie, with their kids Ethan, Sarah, John, Riley, and Victor; Andrew and his wife Kelly, and their kids Hayden, Corbin, Scarlett, and Ophelia; and Michael Puhr and his children Michael and Lillith. She also leaves behind her siblings Linda, Greg, John and Lori, many nieces and nephews, and her first husband, John Cave.

Teri left a lasting impact on those who knew her, and her legacy lives on in her family.

A celebration of her life will be held on June 21, 2025, in Harrisonville, Missouri.
