Terry Lynn Walker, a beloved truck driver and dedicated foreman at US Truss in Peculiar, MO, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 8, 2025, at the Crown Care Rehab & Healthcare Center in Harrisonville, MO. Born on May 5, 1953, in Kansas City, MO, Terry lived a life filled with kindness, love, and laughter, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
A proud graduate of Belton High School in 1971, Terry's work ethic and dedication shone through during his many years as a truck driver, where he carried both goods and the warmth of his personality on the road. His colleagues and friends fondly remember his ability to lighten any moment with humor, always striving to bring joy and laughter to those around him.
Terry was not only known for his professional commitments but also for his passions in life. He cherished time spent fishing and hunting, embracing the beauty of nature and the simplicity of these pursuits. He was a social man, whose kind and loving demeanor made him a favorite companion among family and friends. Everyone loved to be near him, drawn by his vibrant spirit and the light he brought into their lives.
Terry's family, deeply grieving his loss, includes his loving wife of 30 years, Ronette Walker; his two cherished daughters, Marsha Barker and Waynetta (Shelly) York; and sons-in-law, Bryant Barker and Zachary York. He was also a proud grandfather to his granddaughter, Aria May Rose York, who will carry his legacy forward. Terry is survived by his sister, Sharon Cantrell.
He was preceded in death by his father, L C Walker, who passed away in 2007, and his mother, Waynetta Bailey, who passed in 2017. The memories of Terry’s kindness and laughter will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
A memorial service will be held on April 18, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Pathways Church located at 904 S. Madison St., Raymore, MO 64083. This will be followed by a celebration of his life from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Elks Lodge # 2791, located at 2402 Route 291, Harrisonville, MO 64701.
Terry Lynn Walker will be deeply missed, but his spirit and zest for life will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
