Terese Joann Lozano, 67, passed away on December 3, 2025 in Raymore, Missouri after a courageous battle with cancer.
Terese was born on February 22, 1958 in Kansas City, Missouri to Irl Bernard and Margaret Kathleen Muder. She was the youngest of six children.
Terese graduated from Bishop Hogan High School in 1976.
In August 1986, Terese married Martin Lozano in Merriam, Kansas.
Terese gave birth to the couple’s first of three children --- Heather in January 1987. Martin and Terese would also have two boys together, Hayden and Ronnie.
Terese was the matriarch of her immediate family.
She showed courage throughout her life, including the two decades she spent in the San Francisco Bay Area, raising her children while being away from her mother and siblings.
She always stood by her kids, teaching them morals and values they’d need throughout adulthood. Terese was a strong-willed and loyal person. She will be remembered as a loving mother who always put her children first.
Sports played a big role in her life and the lives of her family --- she was a proud fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals.
Terese was preceded in death by her father Irl Bernard, mother Margaret Kathleen, husband Martin and older sister Janet. Terese never dated or remarried after Martin’s death.
She is survived by her daughter Heather and her partner Ryan, her son Hayden, her youngest son Ronnie and his partner and the mother of his child, Alexie. Terese leaves behind one grandchild, Immanuel. Terese is also survived by four siblings, cousins and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation and Mass will be held at St. Sabina Parish in Belton, Missouri from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025.
