A 1998 Grandview High School graduate, she had an excitement for life and experienced life with wide-eyed wonder. Everything would take her breath away, from the butterflies at Powell Gardens, to the wild cats at Cedar Cove and the hummingbirds in our backyard. The first thing you’d notice about Sarah was her huge smile! She’d greet everyone with a smile and tell you what she had just done or what she was about to do…she always had a story to share. No matter who you were, Sarah would immediately treat you like she had known you forever. And oh what an infectious laugh she had! She had a generous spirit and took great joy and delight in creating things so she could give them away. Sarah’s journey through life left footprints of kindness, love, joy, and faith. I will always miss my sweet friend. I didn't get to meet her in person but we were good online friends. She gave me bath bombs, CDs and LulaRoe Pants. We had lots in common with each other.

Dearest sister, I can remember when I was young and you got your first apartment across the way from mom. I knew you where thrilled! I remember Chris and I stopping by one day and we all decided to walk down to K-Mart! Ha! How time flies! Not sure why that memory really stuck with me, maybe because it was just a good day... Sarah, you were always so kind, caring, gentle, and fun. I can only imagine how much more you are now?! ...and I know you are probably already playing auntie with Lynette and I's little ones up there! No doubt about that!!! I know mom would wish you back, but she knows just how much better it is where you are! You are truly free! -Monte

Sarah unknowingly spent her last day giving my youngest daughter her most Special Christmas memory. Going on her first shopping trip without a parent. She had a special bond with my youngest, and Sarah was the one she wanted when the fireworks scared her on the Fourth of July. Sarah was one of my kids' favorite people, and we still can't believe she's gone. Thank you for being such an amazing example of Christ's love. Rest easy in Heaven, Dear Friend. We'll carry you with us in our hearts every day until we see you again.
