Rose Mary Goddard

She is survived by her mother, her two loving sons, Richard (Ricky) Goddard and his spouse Dawn (of Liberty, MO) and James Goddard (of Independence, MO), as well as four sisters, two brothers, five grandkids, and two great grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her father, a sister, and one grandchild.

Rose Mary was affectionally known as a “hat lady” and enjoyed the company of others. She had a hat for every occasion, and it was her goal to make others smile or laugh with a silly hat. She worked in numerous jobs, including waitressing, selling insurance, driving an ice cream truck and a taxi cab. She loved jobs that involved being around people.

Known for her generosity, Rose Mary would often go without if she knew there was someone in need. Strong in her faith, she was a regular at her community bible study and attended Hope Through Grace Fellowship until her illness precluded her from doing so. This is the same location where her memorial service will be on May 24th at 2 PM.

We love her and she’ll be missed for a long time by many people.
