In Loving Memory of Pamela Joyce (Storey) Denney
On the quiet morning of November 15th, at 5:30 am, surrounded by the serenity of NKC Hospice, our beloved Pamela Joyce Denney peacefully departed from this world to join the Lord after a short, courageous battle with Cancer.
Born on November 11th, 1943, Pamela celebrated a remarkable journey through 80 years of life, a milestone she humbly reached despite her lighthearted protestations. Pamela shared a profound and enduring love with her devoted husband, John, for an incredible 62 years! Their union was a testament to commitment, weathering the storms of life hand in hand and emerging stronger, proving that love knows no bounds. Their enduring bond has left an indelible mark on their loving family and friends, inspiring all who witnessed the depth of their dedication. Their amazing, loving marriage will be their strongest and most meaningful testimony to their time on this Earth. Throughout her final days, Pamela was surrounded by the warmth of her family and the love of her children. A beacon of love herself, Pamela's essence was defined by the genuine and boundless love she showered upon everyone she encountered. Love was her superpower, and its impact resonated in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.
Pamela's journey began at Kearney High School, where she graduated in 1961. She enjoyed time there as a cheerleader at NKC. Her first job was at First National Bank, and then later in life she worked as a secretary for Black and Veatch. Her professional career was cut short by a disabling weakness (and pain) in her arms which kept her from being able to type or do other secretarial duties.
Pamela is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved Francis and Everette Storey, and her brother Gregory Storey. When you asked Pam who she was looking forward to seeing the most in heaven, without hesitation she said "Granny Franny", her beloved mother. Pam is survived by her loving husband John Riley Denney. Pam leaves behind a legacy of love in the form of her children: Matthew (DeAnne), Heather (Chad Karns), and Rebecca (Chris Romsland). Her love extends to her nine grandchildren-Austin, Spencer, Braeden, Dakota, Jake, Lilly, Sophie, Emery, and Maddox-and one great-grandchild Colton, a testament to the enduring impact she had on generations.
For over 60 years, John and Pam proudly called Platte County home, with their most recent residence in Platte Woods, MO. Their roots ran deep, and the community was blessed by their presence.
As we bid farewell to Pamela Joyce Denney, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by love, resilience, and unwavering devotion. May she find eternal peace in the arms of the Lord, and may her memory continue to illuminate the lives of all who were touched by her extraordinary love and grace. There will be a private family service held in the coming days for Pamela. Donation suggestions are Harvesters KC or the KC Pet Project.
