Margaret Stephens

Margaret Stephens, age 58, of Webb City, Missouri passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Margaret was born on June 7, 1967, in Joplin, Missouri. She was raised by Sanford & Elma Hammond in Duenweg, Missouri, where she developed a love for faith & family. She attended College Heights Christian school where she excelled in both cheerleading and choir.

Margaret married Bill Stephens and together they shared three children (Sheri, Shawn & Ryan). She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother that took great pride in her family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her kids and grandchildren.

She will be remembered for her strength, generosity, humor, love of art, cooking, traveling and the way she made people feel welcomed and loved.

Margaret was preceded in death by Bill Stephens (Husband), Sanford Hammond (Father), Elma Hammond (Step-Mother).

She is survived by her children Sheri, Shawn & Ryan; her grandchildren Isabella and Taya; her brother Tim Byrd;  her significant other, David Poindexter; as well as many dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Margaret’s love, faith and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. So, farewell for now, until we meet again beyond the skies.
