Loren Craig Smith

June 4, 1978 — September 16, 2020

Loren Craig Smith passed away unexpectedly September 16, 2020.

He leaves behind his true love of 11 years: Stephanie Lamb; daughters: Kaitlynn Roxanne of Independence, MO; Ashley Renee (John Almada) of Kansas City, MO; Nichole Ann of Blue Springs, MO; sister Amanda Gunter of Independence, MO; father Dale Smith (Lynn) of Kansas City, MO; step father Ben Parson of Texas; grandmother Geraldine Willis of Independence, MO; one nephew: Alexander Gunter; five grandchildren: Andrew, Logan, Camden, Addison, Paisley; and numerous other close friends and family members.

He is proceeded in death by his mother, Angela Parson and grandparents Virgil and Janet Smith.

Loren was born June 4th, 1978 in Kansas City, MO. He attended Fort Osage High School and was a member of the Tribe Mic-O-Say. He spent the last 8 years at All About Doors and Windows as a warehouse parts puller. Loren loved working odd jobs and was very artistic. Everyone said he was a jack of all trades, but a master of none. He spent his past time rebuilding old bicycles and wood working. His favorite thing to do though was fishing and spending time outdoors. He and Stephanie were active members of KC Trucks club with their 4-wheel drive trucks.

Loren will always be known for his kind heart and his giving ways. If someone needed help, he was always there. The one accomplishment in his life that he was most proud of was his daughter Kaitlynn. He showed tough love but wanted to make sure she succeeded and had a better future than he did.

Loren was loved by many and touched many lives. He will be deeply missed by all.

The family will have a Celebration of Life on Saturday October 3, 2020 from 4PM to 7PM at McCoy Park Pavilion in Independence Mo. All are welcome to come and reminisce with stories about Loren and how he touched all of our lives.
