Jon "Jappy" Jay Jeannin Sr., 62, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on April 4, 2024, at the family home. He was born on October 28, 1961, in Kansas City, MO.

Jappy was a beloved friend and brother known for his generous and caring nature. He was always willing to help those in need without judgment, embodying a true spirit of love and compassion. Jappy's kindness extended to ensuring everyone had enough to eat, especially enjoying sharing his famous tenderloins. He cherished his family, including his wife of 44 years, Patty Jeannin, and his three children; Jon Jr., Nicole, and Norman. Jappy also had a special bond with his chihuahua, "Rascal."


In addition to his immediate family, Jappy is survived by his grandchildren Janee, Jada, Jon, Samantha, and Autumn, as well as his great-grandchild Julianna. He is also survived by his two brothers, sister, numerous nephews, and nieces. Jappy was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Carole Jeannin, his best friend Roy Parvin, and his sister April.

Jappy pursued a career as a mechanic, showcasing his skills and dedication in this field. Outside of work, he enjoyed hobbies such as bonfires, riding and building Harley motorcycles, cooking, and taking walks with his beloved "Rascal."

A service to honor and remember Jappy will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 705 W. Walnut St., Independence, MO 64050.

Complete Cremation and Funeral Service in Harrisonville, MO, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.

Jappy will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
