Jolene Castells

Jolene Castells (Pickering) passed away on Sunday, April 12, at the age of 47 after a brief illness. Jolene was born in Hampton, Iowa on January 28, 1979 to Keith and Nancy Pickering.

Jolene spent most of her life in Colorado where she enjoyed the mountains and being outdoors. Vivacious and funny, she loved being a mom more than anything and cared deeply for her two boys. Her creative and artistic side lent to her love of drawing, and she would doodle on any paper she had in front of her. She had a knack for turning even the most boring tasks into an adventure.

She is survived by her sons, Colton Pickering and Kaden Cashler; her father, Keith Pickering; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Pickering.

Though her passing was unexpected, Jolene left this world in tranquility and knowing she was loved. Her bright smile, laughter, and caring spirit will be remembered always by those who knew her.
