Joel Michael Jones died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on August 17th, 2023 in Raymore, Missouri at the age of 51.
Joel is survived by his wife Kathy Herring of Raymore, MO; his father Charles Michael Jones of Powell, MO; his mother Jeri Jones of Drexel, MO; his stepmom Wendy Jones of Powell, MO; his children Jonathan Jones (Stephanie Jones) of Raymore, MO, Brittany Hoffman (Cory Hoffman) of Archie, MO, and Dakota Jones (Taylor Jones) of Archie, MO; his stepchildren Jordan Williams (Jimmy Williams) of Grain Valley, MO and Ellie Boland of Raymore, MO; his grandchildren Alera Hoffman, Enzo Jones, Wyatt Hoffman, Cooper Williams and Emersyn Williams; and numerous cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather Charles Lee Jones; his grandmother Theresa Pauline Belim (Patterson), his grandparents W.D. Ware and Ruth Ware, and his great grandparents Clayton and Sadie Jones and Cecil and Pearl Patterson.
Joel was born on April 9th, 1972 in Kansas City, MO to Charles Michael Jones and Jeri Jones (Ware). He graduated in 1990 with honors from Rogers High School in Rogers, AR. He was a letterman in football and track. He attended the University of Arkansas.
Joel was an avid deer and turkey hunter, and he loved to fish. He also loved the family farm. He was a huge Kansas City Chiefs and Arkansas Razorbacks fan.
Joel was employed with Nostrum Laboratories as a Technical Operations Manager over Operations, Engineering and Maintenance for the last 9 years.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Sunday, August 27th at Bobbies Place located at 422 W Pine St, Raymore, MO 64083 from 1:00-5:00. Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate Joel’s life.
