Jerry Ramond Strong, born June 6, 1938, in Jackson, Ohio, passed away on July 21, 2025, leaving behind a life as colorful as his humor. He is survived by his wife Jeanne, who had the questionable judgement to marry him later in life, forming a lively blended family of six children, 14 grandchildren, and multiple great-grandchildren.
Jerry served in the U.S. Army at the close of the Korean War and went on to a long career in medical lab technology, excelling as both a dedicated practitioner and a smooth-talking salesman. Away from work, he was happiest in his woodworking shop, crafting poetry (some printable, some not), enjoying fine music, and cheering — loudly — for his beloved Kansas Jayhawks.
Known for his saucy wit, twinkling smile, and generous heart, Jerry filled every room with laughter, warmth, and the occasional eye roll. He leaves behind a legacy of stories, handmade treasures, and the reminder to live with mischief, music, and at least one good punchline each day.
He was a beloved family man, craftsman, workmate and friend whose impact will continue to live on with everyone his life touched.
