Janice Ammie Vassholz Turner

Janice Ammie Vassholz Turner was born on January 16, 1963, in Kansas City, MO. Daughter of George and Virginia Turner. Janice passed away on May 22, 2025, at the early age of 62. She resided at Beautiful Savior Home in Belton, MO. She had hospice care through Ascend Hospice and the great care of Beautiful Savior Nurses.

Janice was proceeded in death by her son, Kevin Scott Moore, her father, George W. Turner, Her brother, David W. Turner, a niece, Stacy E. Wild, two sisters-in-law, Donna (Cline) Turner, and Jill Bowman. As well as many other friends and family.

Janice is survived by her mother, Virginia Ammie Turner, her daughter, Ammie Lynn (Moore) Swearingen, her son-in-law, Jacob L. Swearingen, eight grandchildren, Jamie Renee Boden, Kirsten Catalina Moore, James Ryker Altman, Jonathan Scott Alexander Moore, Janice-Nora Elizabeth Schuh, Jared LeeRoy Swearingen, Jordan Scott Swearingen, and Landon Taylor, her sister-in-law, Annette Wild, her brother-in-law, Geoff Wild, a nephew Paul Nelson, and two nieces, Desiree Murphy, and Mindi Coday. Also, many dear friends and extended family.

Janice adored her children and grandchildren. She loved all her friends and family. She loved music, being on the beach, traveling, and having adventures with her grandchildren. Jancie was an avid Chiefs and Royals fan. She also had a passion for antique glass.

Janice loved to serve others. She spent many years in recovery, helping others and enjoyed all that consisted of. Janice always tried to make time for close friends and her family.

Janice suffered with many illnesses including the horrible disease of Alzheimer's. Her family believes she is now free of pain and has all her wonderful memories back. She is now with her son and family she has missed dearly while still being able to watch over all of us.

A celebration of life will be held from 4pm-5pm on Thursday May 29, 2025, at Life Quest Church 1400 N. Scott Ave., Belton, MO 64012.
