Diana Gail Hooper

Diana (Dee) Gail (Quinn) Hooper died at home with family on Oct. 7th, 2021 in Greenwood, MO from complications of chronic COPD and heart problems at the age of 70.

She is survived by her husband Robert (Bob) Hooper of Greenwood, MO; her sister Peggy Jackson of Sugar Creek, MO; her brother Jack Quinn of Sugar Creek, MO, her brother Greg Quinn of Buckner, MO; two sons, two step-daughters, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Diana is preceded in death by her sister Cheryl Guy of Milwaukee, WI and her step-daughter Heather Evans of Shawnee Mission, KS.

Dee was born on May 24th, 1951 to Forrest and Betty Quinn in Kansas City, MO. She married Robert Hooper on April 14, 1987 in Bolivar, MO. She worked for the Department of Homeland Security for 14 years before she was forced to retire because of her illness. Dee lived in Independence, MO for 22 years and Greenwood, MO for 13 years.

Dee loved dogs, cats, and horses, including her little guy Bailey, and she loved horseback riding. Dee loved traveling; she just liked to get in the vehicle and go. She loved spending time with family as much as possible. Dee was a Catholic, and she regularly donated to the Boys Club of America and Disabled American Veterans.

Everyone Dee met liked her, and she was a friend to all. She will be missed deeply.

A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 13th, 2021 from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM at the VFW Post located at 12810 Kentucky Rd, Sugar Creek, MO 64050.
