Dana Ruth Simmons

Dana was born September 2, 1960 in Kansas City, KS to Dale Simmons and Ruthann Pankalla Simmons. Dana grew up in a close knit neighborhood enjoying good times and activities with her friends. She attended Christ the King Catholic School through 8th grade. After graduating from Shawnee Mission West High School, Dana was married for 19 years and gave birth to 2 children. Dana worked as a retail cashier and assistant store manager before becoming disable by a back injury and thyroid disorder. She enjoyed collecting anything pig or Harley Davidson related, keeping photo albums and writing in her journals.

Dana is survived by her mother Ruthann Simmons, Overland Park, KS, her sister Cyndy Goodman,Shawnee, KS, her daughter Tamara Ward, Independence, MO, her son and two grandchildren, nieces, cousins and friends who meant the world to her. She is preceded in death by her dad, Dale Simmons.
