Charles Lee Faherty

Charles “Lee” Faherty Sr, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on
June 6th, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on December 16th, 1950, to George M
Faherty and Dolores James Faherty, who preceded him in death. Charles married the love of his
life, Dianna Lee Molder, in 1970, their love endured through the decades, becoming a
cornerstone of their family's strength and happiness.


Lee attended Nativity Elementary School, Rockhurst High School, and Vanhorn High School,
where he graduated in 1968. He pursued a career as an engineer at Union Pacific Railroad from
1970 to 2010.


Lee was deeply passionate about sports, finding joy in baseball, bowling, softball, and golf. His
enthusiasm for sports brought him closer to his family and friends, creating lasting memories and
bonds.


Lee was preceded in death by his sisters Lynn, Lisa, and Lacy. He is survived by his loving wife,
Dianna, their children Chad (Cheri), Brandon (Serina), Angie Oliver (Jim), and Ryan, as well as
his grandchildren Crissa, Haley, Cali, Chloe, Cara, Brooklyn, Gavin, Cameron, and Sloane, and
great-grandchildren Kaison, Rowan, Emily and Kinsley. He is also survived by his sister Lory,
and his best friend, Kenny Larson who was a source of strength and joy throughout Lee’s life.
Along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.


Lee will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering love for his family, and his zest for life.
His legacy of love and family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.


A memorial service to celebrate Lee's life will be held on June 23rd at The Creekmoor
Clubhouse from 2:00-4:00. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Tunnel to Towers
Foundation in honor of Charles's memory and his dedication to helping others.
