Anne Leslie Kartman

Anne entered God’s Heavenly Kingdom on Thursday, November 23^rd, 2023, on Thanksgiving evening after a brief illness.  Anne was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on August 10, 1957, to Douglas and Marilyn Kartman.  The family moved to Kansas City in 1959 when Douglas took a job with Bendix Corporation.  Anne attended Saint Catherine’s Grade School, Bishop O’Hara High School, and graduated from Hickman High School in 1975.  Anne was an employee at IRS for many years.  Anne was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrisonville, MO, where she was active in many of the Church’s ministries.  She was a proud member of The Legion of Mary. 

Anne is predeceased by her parents, Douglas and Marilyn Kartman.  Anne is survived by her sons and their spouses, Joshua Ryman (Corey) and Jesse Ryman (Suzy), and her grandchildren Jackson, Lucas, Presley, Jonah and Tallulah.  She is also survived by siblings Scott Kartman, Kathy Doyle, Christine Brandon, Thomas Kartman, and Michael Kartman, and several nieces and nephews (who called her Aunt Lambchop).

There will be a visitation at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Harrisonville, MO, on Saturday, December 9^th at 9:30 AM, with the Rosary at 10:00 AM, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM.  Burial will be held at a later date.   

The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Research Medical Center ICU for the excellent care Anne received while there.  Also, the family would like to sincerely thank Father Dan and the parishioners of Our Lady of Lourdes for their loving care, support and prayers for Anne.  Anne was truly blessed to be a member of this parish!  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Anne’s honor to Our Lady of Lourdes.
