Angela Janette Cain, affectionately known as “Angie” Cain, passed away unexpectedly in Blue Springs, Missouri, on July 15, 2025, at the remarkable age of 74.
Angie is survived by a loving family. Golden Cain, Angie’s husband of 55 years. They have seven children: Shannon Cain and his wife Ronda of Rolla, Missouri; Jason Cain his wife April of Wentzville, Missouri; Matthew Cain of Owensville, Missouri; Alisa Vallal and husband Sanjay of Blue Springs, Missouri; Devin Cain, Destiny Cain, and Dylan Cain; Brian and Tracy Storie of Leslie, Missouri.
Angie, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away on July 15, 2025. She will be survived by her siblings Marilyn Kennedy and husband Randy, Christine DeGonia and husband Jeff, Thomas Copeland, Bruce Copeland and sister-in-law Challa Copeland and brother-in-law Roger Henson, all residing in Bixby, Missouri.
Angie’s legacy extends to her 16 grandchildren, including Erin, Nikki, Eryn, Brooklyn, Brendan, Jacob, Kyle, Corey, Meagan, Michael, Corey, Ayden, Bryce, Zander, Zayden and Anahlyse. She also has 7 great grandchildren Baileigh, Devin, Riley, Dean, Gabriel, Abel, and Aleeyah.
Angie’s life was filled with love and devotion to her family. She was born on October 26, 1950, in Black, Missouri, to Collin and Edna Marie Copeland. After graduating from Cherryville High School in 1969, Angie married her husband Golden after just two weeks of knowing him. Their union lasted for 55 wonderful years.
Angie’s passion for education led her to attend East Central Community College, where she majored in English. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to various educational endeavors, including running her own daycare for several years and working in church and Head-start daycare programs. Her impact on the lives of many children was immeasurable.
Angie was also actively involved in foster care, making a significant difference in the lives of children in need.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.
The celebration of Angie’s life will be held on August 2, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Joyful Sound Worship Center in Peculiar, Missouri. Pastor Mike Cronk will officiate the ceremony, and all are welcome to attend and celebrate Angie’s life.
